Born in Saga Prefecture. Graduated from the School of Commerce, Meiji University.

Based in Kumamoto, Japan.

I record people, places, and the time that runs through them, through film and photography.

Born in Saga, I studied filmmaking in Tokyo, lived on Kohama Island in Okinawa, and am now based in Kumamoto.

I have worked on brand and corporate films, documentaries and artists’ projects, handling everything from planning through shooting and editing.

What matters to me is not the staged moment, but the air that already belongs to a place, and the hours in which people’s lives appear of their own accord.

Work and craft handed down within nature. Culture, and the ties between people. I want to record the landscape and the temperature that exist only in that place, with a quiet eye.

Photographs and films should not only carry information. They should stay in someone’s memory, and in what they felt.

I will keep visiting places where people, nature and culture are alive, in Japan and elsewhere, and record their stories carefully.
